Md. Sozib Hossain

I am a Lecturer at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), Bangladesh. Previously, I served as a Lecturer at Bangladesh Army University of Science & Technology (BAUST). Recently, I have completed my Master’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) from RUET under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Md. Rabiul Islam in November 2025. I also completed my Bachelor’s degree in CSE from RUET under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam Mondal in October 2022.

My research interests include deep learning, digital image processing, and biomedical applications. In particular, I aim to develop computer-aided diagnostic (CAD) systems that enable real-time and accurate diagnoses. Currently, my work focuses on enhancing the trustworthiness of CAD systems through the application of Explainable AI. I have already implemented several efficient CAD systems using different approaches for lung cancer detection. Additionally, I am interested in multi-modal CAD systems for more comprehensive diagnostic outcomes and federated learning to ensure security and privacy in handling sensitive medical data.

I am also actively engaged in extracurricular activities such as supervising undergraduate theses and projects, coaching students for ICPC and UCPC programming contests, and contributing to academic conferences as a committee member and paper reviewer.
